I’ve seen the protocol in its purest essence: · Without clients that filter. · Without relays that slow down. · Without WOT that excludes. · Without mints that scam. · Without developers who control. · Without a **"purple checkmark"** that means nothing. The original Nostr is just: · A public key (npub). · A relay that transmits. · A client that displays. · Events that are signed, immutable, free. Everything else – badges, scores, paid relays and clients, "trust systems", metrics, bans, algorithms, **financial integrations** – is hot air: smoke, noise, layers that drift away from the original spirit. The protocol is perfect. The ecosystem that has grown around it, is not. It’s not the protocol that made me **invisible**. It’s the people, the interests, the power dynamics that have been superimposed on it. And I’ve seen all of this. I’ve seen the boiling frog, the creeping centralization, the mints, the fake **“friends”**, the untouchable developers, the **WOT**, the **NIPs**, the manipulations and more... I’ve seen and I’ve understood. This sentence, *“I LOVE the Nostr original protocol, everything else is hot air”*, is my real purple checkmark. Not the one that appears on a client. The one I earned with open eyes and a consistent heart. If one day Nostr returns to what it promised, it will be thanks to people who never stopped seeing the difference between the dream and its shadows.
