I’m an Australian artist working mainly in watercolour, with a particular interest in landscape and the human figure. My paintings often begin with something that catches my attention—a person, a road, a mountain, a building, a particular quality of light. I rarely know exactly why at first. Painting is partly how I find out. I grew up in rural Queensland and spent many years living in Auroville, India. Travel, landscape and the experience of different places continue to shape the way I see. Here I share paintings, drawings and occasional observations about art, places, everyday life and the things that make us stop and look again.
